Ownership disclosure

Salon Software Guide and Bookendo share common ownership. Bookendo is a salon and beauty booking platform reviewed on this site, and the same people own both. We tell you this plainly, on every page where Bookendo is evaluated or recommended, because you deserve to weigh it.

Our commitment: Bookendo is scored with the exact same public 100-point rubric and the same 11 hands-on tasks as every other platform. It does not get bonus points, a reserved slot, or a pass on its weak spots — you will find its limitations (no client marketplace, a shorter track record) stated as plainly as its strengths.

How we make money

Some links to software vendors, including Bookendo, are affiliate or sponsored links that may earn us a commission if you sign up. This never affects a platform’s score or ranking. Rankings are set only by rubric points. Where a link is commercial, it is marked accordingly.

How we score

Every platform runs through the same published rubric across nine weighted criteria — booking, pricing, payments, business management, marketing, staff, ease of use, support and integrations — for a total of 100 points. External review-site ratings do not feed the score; they are only mentioned as qualitative context. Read the full method on our methodology page.

How prices are verified

We check pricing, processing fees and free-trial terms against each vendor’s official sources and re-verify them on a regular cycle. Every page shows the date its prices were last checked.

Questions or corrections

Found something out of date or think we got a score wrong? We update the record when the evidence changes. This policy applies to Bookendo exactly as it applies to every other platform we cover.
