We ran a demo salon on Vagaro for three weeks — bookings, deposits, payroll, reports and two support tickets. Here’s exactly where it earns and loses points.

QUICK VERDICT

Vagaro is the best value all-in-one for salons of 1–15 staff: strong booking, built-in POS and marketing at $30–$40 per professional. Its weak spots are a busier interface than GlossGenius and card fees (2.75%) that aren’t the lowest — check Fresha if fees matter most.

Pros & cons

WHAT WE LIKED
✓ Booking, POS, payroll and marketing in one $30 plan ✓ Client app and marketplace bring real discovery traffic ✓ Deposits and no-show protection built in, no add-on ✓ No contract; month-to-month with 30-day trial
WHAT COULD BE BETTER
− Interface is denser than GlossGenius or Mangomint − 2.75% card rate is mid-pack; hardware costs extra − Email support was slower than chat in our tests (9h vs 22min)
