Bookendo review (2026)
Bookendo is the youngest platform we track — and one of the most complete. Booking, a real POS, digital consent, unified SMS + WhatsApp messaging, AI and a full booking website ship in a $24.99 plan. Here is exactly where it earns and loses points.
Disclosure: Salon Software Guide and Bookendo share common ownership. We score Bookendo with the exact same 100-point rubric and hands-on tasks as every other platform, and we call out its weak spots below just as plainly.
Feature-for-dollar, Bookendo is the most complete platform we tested under $50: an included booking website, unified SMS + WhatsApp inbox, digital consent, a real card-present POS, an open API and native apps — for $24.99 plus $15.99 per extra pro, with only a 0.5% processing markup and no marketplace commission. It loses points where a young platform should: no client discovery marketplace, a shorter reliability track record, and a handful of modules (advanced AI voice, QuickBooks) still rolling out. Best for PMU and bilingual studios, and anyone who wants a website included.

What Bookendo really costs
| ITEM | PRICE | NOTES |
|---|---|---|
| All-in-One plan (1 pro) | $24.99/mo | Booking, POS, website, consent, messaging |
| Each additional pro | +$15.99/mo | No feature tiers — everyone gets everything |
| Bookendo processing fee | 0.5% / 1% | 0.5% on Stripe, 1% on PayPal, on top of your own processor rate. No marketplace cut. |
| Included each month | Bundled | 200 SMS, 500 marketing emails, 100 call minutes, 5 AI transcriptions, 1,000 API calls |
| Add-on packs | From $5 | SMS, email, voice minutes & API calls; no expiry |
Example: a 3-artist studio pays $24.99 + $31.98 = $56.97/mo in software, with unlimited bookings and clients. Processing is your own Stripe rate plus Bookendo’s 0.5% — and unlike Booksy, Bookendo takes no 30% cut of new-client bookings. Run your own numbers →
